A custom glass sauna for a Gulf villa, hotel or club costs between $6.2–8.4k (SAR 23–32k) for a one-seat cabin and $32.5–44.5k (SAR 122–167k) for twelve seats, before civil works, connections, permits, duties and VAT. A cold plunge adds $16.7–28k (SAR 63–105k) for a round built-in pool; a hot and cold pair is $27.7–48k (SAR 104–180k). The ranges are indicative, dated October 2026 and replaced by a firm quote after the free 3D layout.

Five levers that move a Gulf quote
- Seats. The largest driver: each step up adds timber, a bigger heater and more glass.
- Glass. One glass wall is the base. A second wall, larger panes and tinted or frosted glass move the price inside the range.
- Where it stands. An outdoor cabin needs weather detailing, shade and anchoring; a rooftop adds hoisting.
- The cold side. A pool is a different order of cost from a tub; a pair is the highest.
- The route. Freight to a remote site, a narrow lift or a crane add to the bill and are stated in the quote.

Other currencies
Ranges are in US dollars with the Saudi riyal beside them because the riyal is held at 3.75 to the dollar (SAMA). The Qatari riyal is fixed at about 3.64 (Qatar Central Bank), the Bahraini dinar at 0.376 (Central Bank of Bahrain) and the Omani rial at about 0.3845, or 2.6008 dollars per rial (Central Bank of Oman). The Kuwaiti dinar is pegged to an undisclosed basket of currencies, not to the dollar (Central Bank of Kuwait), and stood at 0.3082 per dollar on 11 October 2026. Quotes in any of these currencies are issued on request.
Taxes and duties: how to read the quote
Our ranges leave out VAT and customs duty, and the quote shows both line by line. For orientation: VAT is 15% in Saudi Arabia (PwC Tax Summaries, 2026), 10% in Bahrain (National Bureau for Revenue, 2026) and 5% in Oman (US International Trade Administration, 2025), while Qatar and Kuwait levy none at present (PwC, 2026). Four of the five states apply the GCC common customs tariff, generally 5% of the CIF value on most goods (US International Trade Administration, 2025-26); Oman's duty rate is for your customs broker to confirm. Saudi Arabia runs import conformity through the SABER platform of SASO, which registers products, issues product conformity certificates and issues the shipment certificates needed before goods reach the Saudi market (SASO SABER, 2026); whether a given heater or chiller is regulated depends on its customs tariff code, which the importer and the broker check item by item.
Comparing two quotes
- Do they state the seats, the cabin size and the heater in kilowatts?
- Is the glass area stated, and is the heater chosen for it?
- Is the chiller sized by litres, and is a margin for sun and duty stated?
- Is the frequency stated for pumps and chillers on a Saudi project?
- Are freight, hoisting, duties and VAT shown line by line?
- Who does the electrical, water and drain connections, and who pays?
- What is the payment sequence, and is the last instalment tied to a signed temperature test?
- What does the warranty cover, for how long, and who comes if something fails?
What looks cheap and is not
- A heater chosen for the cabin volume only, on a glass cabin that never reaches temperature.
- A chiller at the nominal size on a pool in direct sun.
- A price that excludes freight, duties and the second wall of glass.
- A quote with no care sheet and no named service route after handover.
How much does a home sauna cost in Riyadh or Jeddah?
A 2-seat cabin starts around $8.4–11.5k (SAR 32–43k) and a 4-seat cabin around $11.5–16.5k (SAR 43–62k), before civil works and delivery. The price guide lists every range.
Is an infrared sauna cheaper?
Not necessarily, and it is a different experience. A heater-based cabin is our standard; infrared panels are an optional addition. See sauna, steam room or hammam.
What is the cheapest way into cold plunging?
A compact free-standing ice bath with a 1 HP chiller, about $5.7–8.2k. See free-standing ice baths.
